What we’re looking for

An exciting opportunity has arisen, we are looking for a dynamic and motivated Business Development Manager who can roll their sleeves up and be passionate about the business’s growth, who understands the dynamics of the air freight industry.

As a Business Development Manager, you will be required to identify and manage new business pipelines which will generate new Air Freight and Express Road Freight revenues.

The role

Using established processes and inter-personal management skills you will coordinate, develop relationships both externally and internally, ensuring the growth plans and goals of the Business Development team are communicated and agreed and achieved.

The successful candidate will have a proven background in Air Freight Sales and New Business Development and an existing knowledge of the Air Freight and Logistics Industry.


To Win New Air freight and Express Road Freight revenues that complement our existing BDA routes.

Liaise with other areas of the BDA business to ensure company procedures are defined appropriately to meet new business needs, ensuring client service levels are achieved and customer satisfaction enhanced.  

Manage the transition of project ownership from the Business Development Channel to Client Support channel ensuring both internal and external customer satisfaction.

Use the BDA CRM Prosper works platform to record and track all opportunities.

Prepare quantitative and qualitative reports for senior management as directed, ensuring that management is kept appraised of performance relative to target, budget etc.

Key requirements:

  • Proven sales background in an Air Freight selling environment within the Air Freight industry
  • Excellent Planning and Organising
