Purpose / Objectives

To help promote and develop ANA’s cargo business and sales activities in Europe .To effectively and efficiently handle & coordinate the space control amongst cargo sales function in Europe, both online and offline stations as part of a team.

To accomplish the task, the Space Controller (Agent) must work well to coordinate all sales and related activities and duties amongst the EMEA cargo team consisting of Vice President, Assistant Manager and all concerned parties, such as HDQ, Cargo Operations, Sales, GSA and others as necessary.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Space Control for all ANA ex– Europe routes (LHR, CDG, FRA, MUC, DUS, BRU etc.) to Japan
  • Dealing and coordinating with all GSAs within Europe to ensure the smooth running of operations and monitoring their performance (target attainment, etc.)
  • Handling European space through control system and coordinating with local cargo sales office to fill up space and maximize revenue on all routes/flights
  • Preparation in respect of offloading arrangements with concerned parties (Cargo Operations, Sales) for future flights
  • Analysing and reporting on each route’s performance, by revenue, yield, weight, space utilization, etc.
  • Attending Sales Meetings with all related European sales stations (LON, PAR, FRA, BRU and others)
  • Support and preparation to organise EMEA Sales meetings and other activities
  • Accounting duties (rate check and others as required)
  • System support and Training for GSAs
  • Coordination between concerned parties, such as Local stations and HDQ, etc
  • Other sales and marketing related activities or duties as required

Skills and Knowledge

  • Good organisation skills and ability to act on own initiative
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Computer literate with strong Excel and Word skills
  • Good communication skills and telephone manner
  • Customer service experience
  • Airline and Airfreight industry experience desirable
  • Sales experience essential, Cargo sales experience advantageous
  • Knowledge of Japanese language would be advantageous
  • A full clean UK driver’s licence would be an advantage

Hours of Work

Full time - 37.5 hours per week
