American Airlines Cargo helps out at Christmas

American Airlines Cargo is helping the Society for Companion Animals, a Dallas-based non-profit organisation, this Christmas.
The Society for Companion Animals recently organised the movement of no less than 61 dogs in just two days, each one of them rescued from streets and shelters.
The dogs flew to their new homes via 19 American Airlines flights. Each of them flew from Dallas/Fort Worth to New York LaGuardia, Philadelphia and New Jersey Newark Liberty International.
“Our team puts in a lot of effort to ensure these animals receive the same level of attention and care a human passenger would,” declared Chuck O’Connell, manager – cargo services at Dallas/Fort Worth.
“And it’s all worth it knowing each will make it safely to a new home for the holidays.”
The dogs were transported to their flights from the American Airlines Cargo Priority Parcel Service (PPS) Center at Dallas/Fort Worth.
“The customer service and care that American Airlines Cargo has for our rescue dogs is heartwarming,” insisted Tawana Couch, the president of the Society for Companion Animals.
“Every dog is treated exceedingly well and looked after during the process of traveling to his or her forever home. These rescue dogs really feel loved by the American Airlines Cargo workers who oversee their flights.”
