IAG Cargo trials tenth Cargo Connector station in North America

IAG Cargo will trial its Cargo Connector offering at Washington Dulles Airport (IAD this month (October), making it the tenth station to join the network in North America.
The export collection and import delivery service takes freight direct from the aircraft and delivers it to the forwarders’ handling facilities. IAG Cargo operates three flights each day into and out of Washington Dulles Airport, with cargo arriving from hubs including London Heathrow and Dublin.
The route typically carries commodities including medication, chemical products, and machine parts into the region. IAG Cargo anticipates that aircraft parts, chemical products, and medicines will be key export commodities benefiting from this service.
Joe Le Beau, vice president, North America, IAG Cargo, said: “Cargo Connector has been an important competitive differentiator for us and has been a huge success in the North American market and beyond.
"Offering the service at Washington Dulles Airport will benefit forwarders by making it easier to get goods to market quickly and with maximum ease.”
All of IAG Cargo’s airlines are integrated with the Cargo Connector service including Aer Lingus and IAG’s latest operation, LEVEL. Their inclusion offers additional services and flexibility for customers transporting goods to and from the US.
In North America, IAG Cargo currently offers the service in San Francisco, New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, Atlanta, Seattle, Houston and Miami.
