Jettainer scoops KF Aerospace contract

Jettainer has won the contract to provide ULD services for recently re-launched KF Aerospace.
Under the contract, the Lufthansa Cargo-owned company will provision and manage a fleet of more than 700 ULDs, mostly pallets, for the Canada-based carrier.
Services include ULD management, steering, positioning, repair and maintenance.
Jettainer managing director Carsten Hernig said: “This step into Canada clearly proves our strategy in the Americas is right.
“When Jettainer Americas was founded recently, our aim was to be closer to the market and be able to act faster and closer to our existing and potential customers.”
Canadian cargo airline KF Aerospace – formerly Kelowna Flightcraft – has announced new route structures and a number of strategic partners as it re-enters domestic and international airfreight services after seeing its contract to provide services to Canada Post come to an end.
Initial KF Aerospace routes will include a four times a week DC10-30F service between Toronto and Brussels, with a stop in Greater Moncton International Airport, and a daily B727-200 service between Toronto and Atlantic Canada, again via Greater Moncton.
The network will expand within two months to include western Canada via Vancouver and Calgary, and all of Asia via Anchorage, Alaska.
Jettainer already services US Airways and American Airlines in the Americas region, with further plans to expand in this market.
