Cargo Airline of the Year: how to win it

WHAT does it take to be voted Cargo Airline of the Year?
Continuous innovation and an expansive outlook that embraces imaginative promotion and marketing, certainly helps, advises Air Cargo News editor Nigel Tomkins.
“That’s why companies like Emirates and Lufthansa Cargo have done so well over the 30-plus years of this competition,” he notes.
“Some carriers complain that they don’t seem to feature in our awards scheme,” he comments. “This is partly their fault. They don’t seem to recognize the value of image-building and brand development – a common fault in the air cargo business, especially when you compare it to the passenger side.”
This year’s overall winner will be announced on April 26 at a special awards gala dinner in London.
