dnata selects iCargo suite

Ground handler dnata is to implement IBS Software’s iCargo terminal operation suite throughout its network.
The rollout across dnata’s network of 27 stations in 10 countries will occur gradually, with completion set for 2020.
Noting the need for constant attention to service quality, safety and efficiency, dnata senior vice president UAE cargo and DWC airlines services Bernd Struck said: “With iCargo as our technology platform, we are confident that we can stay agile and adapt to the fast changing needs of our customers across the globe.”
iCargo automates functions such as ULD management, quality monitoring and mail management and provides real-time information that can help users to improve revenue generation and operational efficiency.
Ashok Rajan, senior vice president and head of airline cargo services at IBS, described iCargo as “a strong, stable and modern IT platform” capable of bringing about “transformational change” in the air cargo industry.
“Over the years, significant investment has gone in to give iCargo a strong product roadmap, continuously incorporating technology led innovation and building a collaborative community model of development,” he added.
Korean Air and American Airlines have also signed up for iCargo this year.
