Changi cargo growth nears 10% in September

Singapore Changi Airport saw a 9.8% increase in airfreight to 183,560 tonnes in September, while the Asian cargo hub registered an 8.1% year-on-year increase to 1.6m tonnes in the first nine months of 2017.

Among Changi’s top ten markets, Germany (+27%) was the fastest growing with strong year-on-year growth across all cargo flows. Growth in passengers lagged behind cargo, rising only  5.9% to 46.0 million in the first nine months.
