Heathrow logistics hub fills up fast

Real estate firm Segro has signed two new deals ahead of the completion of its Central Spacewaye site within four miles of Heathrow Airport’s cargo terminal on the North Feltham Trading Estate.
Fine art logistics company Williams & Hill has taken a 25,898 sq ft unit on the estate while commercial aerospace aftermarket operator Satair Group has taken a 19,192 sq ft unit, both on a 15-year lease. The latter company, a long-standing Segro customer, will use the space for storing and servicing aircraft components.
Segro’s Greater London business unit director, Alan Holland, said the new development was 57% let. He added: “Both Williams & Hill and Satair Group are existing customers of SEGRO and Central Spacewaye with its excellent connections to Heathrow, proved to be invaluable to the future business growth and ambition of our global clients.
"The development of Central Spacewaye again vindicates our proven strategy of speculatively developing new Grade A modern units which offer our customers the opportunity to move to larger premises, allowing their businesses to evolve and grow.”
Williams & Hill managing director, Kerry Hill, said: “The location of our premises is paramount to our business and we’re now located at three SEGRO units. Satair Group managing director, Jon Ravhall, added: “We supply and maintain up to three million different aircraft parts, produced by more than 1,000 manufacturers worldwide and we deliver value-adding integrated services. Working with SEGRO once again has guaranteed an excellent location and quality of space.”
Central Spacewaye comprises three new warehouse/industrial Grade A modern specification units, with one remaining 36,116 sq ft unit still available.
