UK airport trio notch up October cargo rises

MAG, the UK airports group, reported healthy cargo growth during October at its Manchester, London Stansted and East Midlands hubs.
Cargo volumes at Stansted airport during October were up 3.0% on last year with more than 23,000 tonnes of goods passing through the airport’s cargo facility. The annual total increased by 3.8% to over 260,000 tonnes.
Manchester airport recorded a monthly increase of 3.6% to 11,356 tonnes, while East Midlands, the UK’s key airport for freighters, saw volumes up 8.6% in October to 30,888 tonnes.
