AIA implements new online booking portal

Airbridge International Agencies (AIA Cargo) has implemented the first stage of its new online booking portal service, in partnership with Champ’s Traxon cargoWEB+ system.
The portal enables the UK-based general sales agent (GSA) and its client airlines to offer a round the-clock customer service via the AIA website.
The system is fully managed and controlled by AIA staff who decide which functions are to be offered and which clients have access to which function. The self-registration of a customer for access is described as "fast and easy".
Some of the features include: bookings, overview of products, rates and surcharges and shipment tracking, plus flight schedules, routing and availability.
Said an AIA spokesperson: "There are multiple benefits for AIA using this new technology not only will it save our clients time but it will lower AIA costs, plus it provides our clients with 24/7 customer service and gives them real time data exchange."
Initially the portal will be open for booking on Cypriot carrier Cobalt airlines, for whom AIA is the worldwide GSSA partner. Clients can book on all Cobalt sectors ex Cyprus to Europe or Europe to Cyprus. The next stage will see additional AIA carriers being added to the portal.
AIA clients who have yet to register can do so by clicking here.
