DoKaSch in pharma container link-up with China Airlines

ULD equipment specialist DoKaSch Temperature Solutions is expanding the global network for its Opticooler temperature-controlled container range for pharma products by linking up with Taiwan-based China Airlines.
Frankfurt-based DoKaSch said that the deal enables customers to lease Opticooler, its latest technology of active containers, from China Airlines on the carrier’s network of 93 destinations in 27 countries.
“With DoKaSch Opticooler, we are able to offer our customers a particularly reliable container for their extremely temperature-sensitive air cargo shipments,” said China Airlines in a statement. “In this strongly competitive market, it is key that we offer our shared customers the best possible solution for their most precious cargo.”
Opticooler, described as "a flying smart warehouse", is designed to safeguard pharmaceuticals throughout global transportation chains – regardless of weather conditions. Electric, battery-powered cooling compressors and heaters are able to keep the temperature inside the Opticooler within a set range.
Andreas Seitz, managing director of DoKaSch Temperature Solutions, added: “We are very pleased to make our Opticooler available through China Airlines. Especially as Asia, and in particular Taiwan, is one of the main hubs for the fast growing market of pharma goods.”
