K+N takes aim at oil and gas business with new Aberdeen office

Kuehne+Nagel (K+N) is targeting the oil and gas market with the opening of a new branch office in the Scottish city of Aberdeen.
The Switzerland-headquartered freight forwarding giant’s new facility in the city, one of Europe’s major oil and gas hubs, will measure 11,000 sq m and is located close to Aberdeen Airport and harbour area.
K+N said the new facility will offer forwarding and integrated supply chain solution services to the industry as well as core seafreight, airfreight and overland solutions.
It will offer on-site export packing and previously subcontracted services like container loading and the North Sea Link trailer service will now be in-house.
“Complex logistics tasks for the Oil & Gas industry demand precisely tailored solutions. Here our new Aberdeen branch has a crucial role to play. Our customers will benefit from enhanced services, as we strengthen our global Oil & Gas network with a dedicated European Hub,” said Marcus Bennett, national manager for K+N UK.
