BARIG intensifies cooperation with Zeitfracht

The Board of Airline Representatives in Germany (BARIG) and Zeitfracht Luftfahrt are to "intensify their cooperation" in air cargo and logistics as part of a partnership agreed at this year’s World Cargo Symposium in Dallas in March.
BARIG, which represents the interests of around 100 national and international airlines, said that the cooperation will see Zeitfracht Luftfahrt and  its Leisure Cargo subsidiary contribute to the "mutual promotion of major industry topics".
BARIG secretary general Michael Hoppe said: “Following WDL Aviation’s joining as new member, BARIG’s Business Partner portfolio has now been further enhanced by the parent company Zeitfracht Luftfahrt Holding  as well as the affiliated company Leisure Cargo, two renowned air cargo and logistics specialists.
"We warmly welcome both players in our association. This year we will again increase our efforts significantly in the air cargo sector and for this purpose acquired new partners that are as competent as they are experienced.”
Thilo Schäfer, managing director of Leisure Cargo, said: “With the scheduled expansion of our business and the creation of new offers, we want to contribute to the strengthening of the air cargo market in Germany.”
