FIATA signs deal to shred freight forwarder paperwork

The International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations (FIATA) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on further cooperation with not-for-profit global standards organisation GS1.
A joint working group will start to digitise FIATA documents, using the GS1 global unique identification system, enabling FIATA members to shed unnecessary paperwork.
FIATA’s Advisory Body Information Technology (ABIT) is meanwhile identifying and migrating all documents onto a digital platform, using the GS1 global unique identification system.
