WACO System launches vendor membership

Global freight management network The WACO System has created a new associate vendor membership level, with Chapman Freeborn and Cargoguide as the first two members in that category.
The new membership is open to suppliers providing “critical services” to The WACO System’s independent forwarder members.
Richard Charles, executive director, The WACO System, said: “Associate vendors have the opportunity of working closely with our members as preferred suppliers and developing strategic alliances which will boost their business.
“We will be looking to grow this membership category to include other leading suppliers who can support our members in delivering a first class service to their customers.”
Air charter specialist Chapman Freeborn and freight rate management solutions provider Cargoguide will attend WACO’s general meetings as part of their membership.
“As the global aircraft charter specialist, Chapman Freeborn’s focus has always been on building long-standing relationships with clients,” said Gavin-Jon Deeks, global key account director, Chapman Freeborn.
“The WACO System network provides the perfect opportunity to work in partnership with independent freight forwarders to generate new business opportunities together on a true global basis.”
“Our service is well proven with more than 1,500 companies around the globe, including several WACO members,” said Jorre Cobelens, chief executive, Cargoguide.
“By becoming an Associate Vendor of The WACO System, Cargoguide will optimise data sharing between WACO members.”
