PACTL gets TAPA

SHANGHAI Pudong International Airport Cargo Terminal (PACTL) has been awarded the Transported Asset Protection Association (TAPA) certification.
The type ‘A’ certificate is the highest offered by the security standards organisation for activities related to the security of freight in transit.
The award comes after the body carried out an audit, which included assessing perimeter fencing, the accessibility of the control office area, the facility dock and warehouse, along with an inspection of the company’s security systems, security procedures and truck control processes.
“The fact that we’ve successfully passed the TAPA audit proves that PACTL’s security system meet the requirements of the [air cargo] industry for safe, secure handling and storage of high-value products,” says Yong Zhang, head of security of PACTL.
