Frankfurt gets Central Asia connection

Uzbekistan Airways has introduced a twice-weekly B767 freighter service between Navoi International Airport and Frankfurt.
Operating on Wednesdays and Fridays, the carrier is also offering freighter connections to Mumbai, Delhi, Dubai, Shanghai and Tianjin via Navoi.
Originally established by the Soviet Union in 1962, Navoi Airport in central Uzbekistan is now managed by Korean Air Cargo.
Navoi’s airfreight terminal, opened in 2010, is claimed to be the largest in central Asia, with a capacity of 100,000 tons a year.
