One Question

Mike Pereira, senior director of airfreight, Greater China, at Agility Global Integrated Logistics, answers:
‘WE see demand for high-end telecoms products moving from China via Hong Kong to India, the Middle East and Africa.
‘Although we have not yet seen much of a shift to ocean from airfreight, we are seeing some shippers moving goods by road instead of air across south-east Asia.
‘Agility’s cross-border trucking operations which provide direct services between Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia and China, have seen a consistent rise in volumes. Shippers find the lower freight charges and door-to-door services that trucking offers are an attractive option when compared to airfreight’
