AA and JAL cooperate on cargo

JAPAN Airlines (JAL) and American Airlines have signed a joint business agreement to provide cargo customers with new destinations and increased capacity.

The agreement covers the main routes of Asia, the US, and Latin America, and incorporates around 300 destinations worldwide.

The two airlines have begun using Chicago, Dallas/Fort Worth, Honolulu, Los Angeles and New York and as key transfer points for cargo traffic in the US and Nagoya, Osaka, and Tokyo as transfer points in Japan.

In addition, shipments which do not exceed 100kg will now receive immediate confirmation of space on both airlines, when customers select JAL’s J-Priority and American’s Expedite product for the routing.
