Aer Lingus starts Boston service

AER LINGUS has inaugurated daily B757 services from Shannon Airport to Boston.
The new service marks the start of the Irish carrier’s major transatlantic expansion in 2014, which includes new routes from Dublin to San Francisco and Toronto, as well as increasing frequency on services from Shannon Airport to Logan International Airport and New York.
This is the first of two B757s that will be based at Shannon, replacing a single A330, a statement says.
Peter O’Neill, director of cargo at Aer Lingus, states: “This is a welcome addition to our freight capacity between Ireland and Boston. The B757 aircraft is ideal for smaller items of freight, or courier consignments and with daily frequency from Shannon it means these goods can be more speedily delivered to Boston.”
