Agility appoints Poulsen for Greater China Area

Agility has appointed Soren Poulsen as chief executive for the Greater China Area (GCA), responsible for leading the forwarder’s Global Integrated Logistics business in China, Hong Kong and Taiwan.
Poulsen, with around 25 years logistics industry experience, has spent more than 10 years of his career in management positions in China.
Prior to joining Agility, Poulsen was the managing director for DB Schenker Hong Kong and South China. He was previously the vice president of airfreight for Asia Pacific in Schenker and has also held various management positions at Kuehne + Nagel and Panalpina.
Chris Price, Agility chief executive Asia Pacific, said: “The GCA is vital to Agility, and China in particular continues to offer tremendous growth opportunities, with Transport Intelligence forecasting compound annual growth of 13.3% from 2013-2017 for China’s freight forwarding market.”
A native of Copenhagen, Denmark, Poulsen is a graduate from Maersk Shipping Academy and will be based in Hong Kong.
