KAZAKHSTAN flag carrier Air Astana has signed up to CHAMP Cargosystems’ Cargospot Airline and Cargospot Revenue processes.

The applications will empower the cargo operations of Air Astana, providing complete end-to-end control over commercial, operational and revenue accounting processes.

Air Astana will benefit from expedited billing and improved cash flow, protecting it from delays, and incorrect or over charging by other airlines or sales agents.

The aim is to optimise operations, boost cost efficiency, and enhance service quality, says an airline spokesperson.

The Kazak airline is going to roll it out over its entire international network during the next six months.

Cargospot Airline automates the entire commercial and operations process, while Cargospot Revenue is a substantial revenue accounting solution, fully integrated with the other module.

CHAMP’s Cargospot applications have already been employed by some 200 airlines, GSAs and ground handling agencies.

“We decided on CHAMP as the single source provider for our new cargo systems covering the full cargo cycle. Their solution is well known for its maturity and stability and also as a solution constantly being evolved by real airline technology professionals,”says Chamindra Lenawa, the airline’s vice-president for IT and eBusiness.
