Air cargo gives Ceva wings

A 5.2 per cent increase in air freight volume helped Ceva Logistics to an improved first quarter in 2015. Overall earnings at the Netherlands-based freight forwarder and logistics company was up 4.6 per cent for the three months ended 31 March 2015 compared with the same period last year, while earnings were up 18.6 per cent year on year, or 23.3 per cent in constant currency terms.
Overall revenue was up 4.6 per cent, year on year. However, freight management revenue, at 6.1 per cent, outperformed logistics (3.4 per cent).  Ocean freight volumes improved by 5 per cent.
