Air France-KLM resumes Atlanta operation

AFTER a three-year absence Air France-KLM Cargo and Martinair Cargo will return to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (US).

Air France Cargo will run twice-weekly flights on a 747F direct from Paris (France) to Atlanta. The airline previously ran flights between 1997 and 2009.

Air France Cargo will operate the cargo flights; Air France-KLM Cargo and Martinair Cargo will provide sales and customer service.

Between 2010 and 2011 total international air cargo flights at Hartsfield-Jackson rose 40 per cent. During 2010 the airport ranked 31st in the Airports Council International top 100 airports by cargo volume with 659,129 metric tonnes, an increase of 17.1 per cent on the year.
