AirBridgeCargo launches Narita freighter

AIRBridgeCargo Airlines is launching a new B747-400 freighter service from Amsterdam Schiphol Airport (The Netherlands) to Narita Tokyo (Japan).The Russian carrier will open the new route as part of its 2009/10 winter schedule and the Wednesday service will fly via its hub at Moscow’s Sheremetyevo Airport.As well as cargo bound for Narita, ABC says the flight will be able to carry shipments to all other destinations within its network. Cargo can be offloaded in Sheremetyevo for the next connecting flight to other Asian destinations such as Hong Kong, Beijing and Shanghai.Tatyana Arslanova, ABC’s executive senior vice-president, strategy, marketing and sales, said: “This latest route is part of our network plan that will give long-term consistency to our product. We will continue to work closely with our freight forwarding partners to provide capacity when and where they need it.”
