All systems go for Apollo
07 / 09 / 2011
APOLLO Freight has started construction on a 15,663 sq ft perishable centre at an off-airport warehouse adjacent to Los Angeles International Airport (US).
The centre includes temperature-controlled working and cargo screening areas to ensure total cold chain protection; three individualised units to handle specific products at temperatures ranging from to 28 to 40 degrees; and 13 truck high loading positions.
The facility will be a TSA-certified cargo screening facility.
Apollo will also offer its sea-air programme, picking up ocean containers from the Ports of Los Angeles/Long Beach and de-containerising contents for airfreight services to final destination.
