American expands Atlanta cargo operations

American Airlines Cargo has expanded its operations at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, with a new 12,000 sq ft facility and additions to the management team.
It is the second expansion of American’s Atlanta cargo facility since 2013.
“This new location will allow us to process cargo more efficiently, providing the best possible experience our customers expect and deserve,” said Tom Cartwright, Cargo’s senior manager of field operations.
Cargo service in Atlanta is available for the carrier’s Priority Parcel Service (PPS), ConfirmedFS and ExpediteFS products.
These services include a variety of trucking options to major American Airlines hubs: Dallas/Fort Worth, Chicago, Charlotte, N.C., Philadelphia and Miami, as well as Raleigh, N.C.
Each of these locations offer customers more connecting opportunities to international destinations throughout Asia, Europe and Latin America.
Swissport Cargo Services is American’s handler in Atlanta.
