An-124 could finally re-enter production

THE thawing of Russian/Ukrainian relations could finally open the door to re-opening production of the An-124. Although sufficient interest in terms of potential orders to make the project financially viable has not yet been reached, the framework is now in place should the decision to go ahead be given.

Russia’s United Aircraft Company (UAC) and Antonov reached an agreement to establish a management company. The company will undertake joint production for the operation of An-148, An-140 and An-124, according to reports in Russia.
