    Is the increasing availability of widebodied passenger aircraft bellies a threat to freighters?

UNDER pressure from the increasing availability of widebodied passenger aircraft bellies, the world of the dedicated freighter operator has come under strong attack.

In the last two years, a string of all-cargo airlines have been driven out of business, whilst orders for new or replacement freighters have crashed through the Boeing and Airbus floors.

Does this scenario spell the beginning of the end for dedicated freighter operations?Or are there solutions on the horizon?

These and other critical issues will be hotly debated at this year’s Freighters and Belly Cargo Conference being held at the Park Hyatt Hotel, Sadiyaat Island, Abu Dhabi, from September 29 to October 1.
