BIFA welcomes new president of CLECAT

THE British International Freight Association (BIFA), welcomes the appointment of Clive Broadley as president of CLECAT, the Brussels based European Association for forwarding, transport, logistic and customs services.
CLECAT’s membership consists of the majority of national freight forwarder associations throughout the EU and its prime purpose is to guard and promote the freight forwarding sector’s interests at European level.
Broadley takes over from Jean-Claude Delen, who has stepped down as a result of his recent election as president of FIATA.
BIFA director general, Peter Quantrill (pictured), said: “Clive’s appointment is important as it helps to strengthen BIFA’s influence and involvement in this organisation and facilitate contacts with important stakeholders, for the benefit of our members.
“It follows the recent election of Christine D’Arcy, chair of the BIFA Legal and Insurance Policy Group as vice-president of FIATA, joining the extended board, and the appointment of BIFA’s executive director, Robert Keen as chairman of the FIATA Working Group Sea and thus vice-chair of the Multimodal Transport Institute.”
