Boeing chooses new chairman

Boeing has elected chief executive Dennis Muilenburg as its next chairman, replacing Jim McNerney who is leaving the Seattle-based plane-maker’s board and retiring from the company as previously announced.
McNerney had joined the board in 2001, and became chairman in 2005. Muilenburg succeeded him as Boeing’s chief executive, and joined the board, in July 2015.
