Cargo Airline of the Year 2014 voting opens

VOTES for the 2014 Cargo Airline of the Year competition have started to come in – and tables are already being snapped up two months before the illustrious London awards night.
With only a few tables left for the popular, celebrity-hosted gala dinner – at which airlines, ground handlers, airports, forwarders and charter brokers receive special awards – readers are warned to order their places now, before entertainment space at the Lancaster London Hotel venue runs out.
“After two or three difficult years, during which budgets have been tight and profits hard to find, the air cargo industry suddenly feels like letting its hair down,” says Nigel Tomkins, Air Cargo News editor. “I’m not surprised at the levels of demand.”
The Air Cargo News awards scheme has been in existence for 30-plus years. “The airline winners are determined by customers’ votes and are therefore truly merited,” he adds.
