Cargolux to Ouagadougou

ALL-CARGO airline Cargolux has added Ouagadougou, the capital of Burkina Faso, to its network of African destinations.
Often called the centre of the nation, Ouagadougou is the country’s largest city; its main industries are food processing and textiles.
Cargolux is operating weekly B747 freighter flights on Wednesdays.
“The service is spurred by growing demand from markets in France, as well as in Asia and the Americas,” says a company statement.
Supplies and equipment for the mining industries in Burkina Faso are among the main commodities. They rely on airfreight because of the landlocked geographical position of the country.
Exports from Burkina Faso primarily include perishables – mainly fresh beans and mangoes – that greatly benefit from the sophisticated temperature-controlled environment of Cargolux’s modern B747 freighters.
