Cargolux utilisation up in April

CARGOLUX recorded an all-time high average daily aircraft utilisation of its B747-400 freighter fleet in the first week of April 2014.
The all-cargo carrier’s B747-400 freighters operated a block-hour average of 17 hours and 23 minutes per day, the highest utilisation that the airline’s B747-400F fleet ever achieved.
During the same week, Cargolux’s B747-8 freighters operated an average of 16 hours and 29 minutes per day.
Cargolux is constantly striving for high asset productivity and has long had one of the highest daily aircraft utilisation rates for the B747 amongst all of the operators of this aircraft type,” says a spokesperson.
The company operates nine B747-400Fs along with two B747-400BCFs and nine B747-8Fs.
