A SURE sign of the economy in upswing, Changi Airport in Singapore has had the best month for cargo volumes in three years.
March 2011 was Changi’s busiest month since 2008, with airfreight movements increasing 5.6 per cent to 166,100 tonnes. For the first three months of the year airfreight movements increased 2.9 per cent to 441,400 tonnes of cargo, up 2.9 per cent compared to last year.
