Emirates boosts Jakarta flights

EMIRATES is increasing its services to Jakarta (Indonesia) from 1 March with three more flights a week.The carrier is expecting belly capacity to increase 27 per cent to 233 tonnes a week per direction, mainly with Indonesian exports of textiles, leather products, fruit, fish, medical and computer equipment and imports of chemicals, cosmetics, machine parts and foodstuff.Senior vice-president, commercial operations Far East and Australasia, Richard Jewsbury noted: “Emirates is grateful to the Indonesian regulatory authorities for their continuing support. Indonesia is one of our most important markets in the region and we look forward to serving the country’s growing demand for air travel services.
