Five more years for Appel

The Supervisory Board of Deutsche Post has reappointed Frank Appel, chief executive officer of the world’s leading mail and logistics company, to the corporate board of management for another five years until October 2022.
Appel (55) has been a member of the management board of Deutsche Post DHL Group since 2002 and chief executive since 2008.
"He shaped the Group’s Strategy 2015, which has effectively unlocked the company’s revenue and profit potential," the company said.
"With the Group’s new Strategy 2020, Frank Appel and his team are in the process of very successfully leveraging the structural mega trend e-commerce across all divisions of the Group to further build on its global market leadership."
