Global Aviation Holdings names Brian Bauer CCO

GLOBAL Aviation Holdings – parent company of World Airways – has named Brian Bauer (right) – the former president of Evergreen International Airlines – its new chief commercial officer (CCO).

Effective 1 June, Bauer will succeed Jeff Sanborn, who plans to retire later in the year. He will be responsible for business and market development, sales management and planning.

“Brian is a veteran of the industry, has significant experience with Air Mobility Command, and military contracting and is a leader in the cargo market,” said Rob Binns, chief executive officer of Global.

Sanborn will become senior vice-president of corporate strategy and reporting to Binns on a variety of strategic initiatives for the rest of the year.

World Airways operates cargo and passenger charter flights using 747-400, MD-11 and DC-10-30 aircraft.
