It pays to specialise, says Cargolux

In addition to its new Transpacific route (see separate story), Cargolux launched a range of eight specialized products at Air Cargo Europe event in Munich on 5 May. The aim, said the Luxembourg-based all-cargo carrier, was to think beyond the flight and respond to the requirements of customers’ door-to-door needs.
CV Classic covers general cargo; CV Jumbo is for outsized and heavy freight; CV Power – cars, engines and items such as helicopters; CV Hazmat – all classes of dangerous goods; CV Pharma; CV Fresh –  perishables; CV Alive – live animals; and CV Precious – artworks and valuable cargo.
Executive vice-president for sales and marketing, Niek van der Weide, said: “Focusing on this new portfolio of products will significantly boost our support of the businesses of our customers and their customers and strengthen the good relations we enjoy with our partners in the industry.”
