LH Cargo extends Jan de Rijk contract

LUFTHANSA Cargo has extended its road-feeder contract with ground transportation and distribution specialist Jan de Rijk Logistics.
The extension is “a positive development in the current cargo market and proof of the trust Lufthansa Cargo has in our extensive trucking network”, says a statement by the Netherlands-based trucking company.
Jan de Rijk provides European trucking services to Lufthansa Cargo as selected supplier at the airline’s main European hub at Frankfurt Airport.
The two companies have a long-standing cooperation in a ground network which now covers more than 300 destinations in some 100 countries served by freighters and the combined cargo capacity offered by Lufthansa and Austrian Airlines’ passenger aircraft.
Jan de Rijk operates a large, modern and diversified fleet of 600 vehicles across Europe. It also offers warehousing services and retail distribution from 25 offices in 15 countries and employs more than 1000 staff in Europe.
