Local link-up for Garuda

Garuda Indonesia has signed a joint marketing deal with local carrier, Cardig Air. Initially, the Indonesian flag carrier will sell space on Cardig Air flights serving Bali, Denpasar, Dili, East Java, Surabaya and Dili, while Cardig will have reciprocal rights on selected Garuda domestic and international services.
According to local press reports, the deal is expected to generate revenues of around $10 million.
Cardig Air operates converted 737-300 freighters on routes linking the western part of the Indonesian archipelago with regional hubs such as Singapore and other domestic services in the eastern part of the country.
