Lufthansa goes big in Japan

FROM 1 November, Lufthansa Cargo will boost its services to Japan to 12 flights a week, virtually doubling its frequencies.

The airline will offer a daily service to Tokyo, from Frankfurt, using an MD-11F. Then, from the beginning of November, Osaka will also be served five times a week.

“Japan has traditionally been a strategically important market for us and want to take advantage of the market opportunities that present themselves there,” said Dr Andreas Otto, Lufthansa Cargo executive board member responsible for product and sales. “Our customers will benefit from more frequent connections and greater flexibility on this key route.”
