LUG Air Cargo Handling’s new accounts manager

NINA HAMPEL, 30, is the new manager of key accounts, sales and business development at Germany-based LUG Air Cargo Handling.
She succeeds Patrik Tschirch who has previously been responsible for growing the company’s client base and sharpening the customer relationship management in cooperation with managing director Wolfgang Korte over the past two years, says a spokesperson.
Hampel has some 13 years’ experience in the industry. After an apprenticeship in aviation administration, she filled various roles at ground handler Aviapartner for six years, finally rising to commercial manager.
Subsequently, Hampel joined Randstad Germany to manage its subsidiary at Frankfurt Airport/Neu-Isenburg. She completed a bachelor’s degree in transport management and operations.
“LUG Air Cargo Handling is one of the most innovative independent air cargo handlers,” Hampel insists.
In November 2012, the shareholders of LUG Air Cargo Holdings nominated Patrik Tschirch, 42, and Lutz Schmidt, 42, as members of the management board. Wolfgang Korte, 63, is to bow out of LUG on March 31, after 12 years at the helm.
