Morin moves on as Air Canada Cargo gets new boss

THE head of Air Canada Cargo, Claude Morin (right), is moving to a new position within the airline, following the retirement of Marc Rosenberg, vice-president, sales and product distribution, after 37 years with the airline. Morin is to be appointed vice-president, global sales, to succeed Rosenberg. As president and chief executive officer of Air Canada Cargo, Morin was at the forefront of progressive new business practices.

Morin’s replacement as head of cargo is Lise-Marie Turpin, currently senior director, cargo services, Americas/South Pacific. She will take over all responsibility of the airline’s cargo activities as general manager, reporting to Ben Smith, executive vice-president and chief commercial officer.

Montie Brewer, president and chief executive officer said: “Claude has made a strong contribution to the airline as head of Air Canada Cargo and I am very pleased that he has accepted the challenge of leading the global sales team at Air Canada. His proven leadership skills, coupled with his commitment to customer relationship management, makes him the right candidate for this key position as the airline continues to innovate the way it sells and distributes its product.”
