New air cargo boss at CEVA

GLOBAL supply chain management company CEVA Logistics has appointed Michael Schaecher as its new chief operating officer of global airfreight.  
The former chief executive (CEO) of Air Cargo Germany has held a wide selection of management and operations roles, including executive positions with DHL Global Forwarding, Star Broker and Panalpina World Transport. Schaecher will also become a member of CEVA’s executive board, says a company statement.
Xavier Urbain, CEVA’s CEO, enthuses: “I am pleased to bring someone of Michael Schaecher’s experience and successful track record to CEVA to oversee and expand our important global airfreight business.”
Commenting his new role, Schaecher says: “I am delighted to be joining CEVA’s management team and lead its global airfreight business line. This is a company with a promising setup, end-to-end logistics capabilities and a strong geographical footprint.”
