New lead of LC cargo centre

DR Andreas Jahnke has been appointed the new head of the Lufthansa Cargo Centre in Frankfurt.

The logistics expert is taking up his post in charge of the cargo carrier’s biggest airfreight transhipment centre, worldwide, with effect from 1 April, 2008.

Karl-Heinz Köpfle, Lufthansa Cargo board member operations, said: “We are delighted to have gained the services of an experienced logistics expert like Dr Jahnke for Lufthansa Cargo. Management of the world’s second biggest cargo carrier’s logistics hub at Europe’s biggest airport is an enormous challenge. In view of the breadth of his experience, we are convinced that Dr Jahnke is the ideal man for this position.”
