New president for Aloha Cargo

ALOHA Air Cargo has appointed Lee Steele – former vice-president of operations at Aloha Airlines – its president.

Steele replaces Eric Van Andel, president of Saltchuk Air Cargo (the owner of Aloha), who was standing in for Mike Malik, who stepped down recently for personal reasons.

He left Aloha Airlines in 2006 to become president and chief executive officer of charter airline Champion Air. Champion ceased operations in May 2008 due to high fuel costs.

Steele then became president of Global Dimensions, an aviation consulting company.
