Paramount Airways signs MoU for 10 A321s

CHENNAI-based Paramount Airways has signed a Memorandum of Understanding to buy 10 A321 aircraft with an option for an additional 10. The agreement was concluded at the 48th Le Bourget air show outside Paris.
M Thiagarajan, Paramount Airways managing director, said: “Today marks an important and strategic landmark in our expansion plans and in particular our goal to become a leading international carrier. The Airbus A321 will help us realise these ambitious and attainable goals and we are delighted with our aircraft choice.”
With the new aircraft, Paramount Airways will launch international services from South India. The A321s will feature Airbus’ newest cabin design offering unrivalled cabin comfort in all classes.

Their decision to go with the A321, is a testament to the aircraft’s leading position in this sector and also to the partnership between our two companies, which we hope will develop long into the future,” said John Leahy, Airbus chief operating officer, customers.
Uniquely, the A320 family offers a containerised cargo system, which is compatible with the worldwide standard wide-body system.
