Price-fixing two more settle

Korean Air Lines and Emirates have both admitted to price fixing in New Zealand.
The pair received discounts for their admissions of liability in the long running case with New Zealand’s Commerce Commission.
Korean agreed to pay US$2.8m (NZ$3.5) and Emirates US$1.2m (NZ$1.5m).
Korean Air admits it made illegal agreements over fuel and security surcharges in Hong Kong, Japan and Malaysia for freight flown to New Zealand. 
While Emirates admits fixing fuel and security surcharges for cargo flown to New Zealand from Indonesia.
Total fines for cartel members in New Zealand now tops US$17m with British Airways, Cargolux, Qantas and Japan Airlines all previously admitting their roles.
